ANNUAL GIS WORKSHOPS

Since 2011, the Energy Sector GIS Working Group has organised annual GIS conferences in Kampala. They are an excellent occasion to discover the latest trends in the geospatial industry and to experience firsthand how GIS technology can be applied to improve planning, monitoring, and informed decision-making. The conferences aim to provide a practical forum for GIS specialists, planners, monitoring and evaluation officers, decision makers, and technology providers to present and discuss best practices for spatial data collection, rigorous data analysis, clear map presentation, and effective system integration. You can also check out conference materials for presentations, posters, and other useful resources.
